My Favorite Palette
It's the BH Cosmetics 26 Color Palette Neutral Eyeshadow and Blush - I have had this for about nine months and I have been using it consistently for the last four months and boy, let me tell you, it is seriously good.
Let talk about packaging - basic, plastic packaging that secures well. It does not come with a mirror (which I sometimes miss), but that make it really lightweight. It is flat and does not take up much space, which makes it perfect for travelling. I actually just stick it into my handbag when I am on the road.
You get 21 eyeshadows and 5 blushes. There is a mix of nudes, browns, metallics and bronzes (and a few peaches and pinks). The shade mix provides what you need for lid, crease, and brow bone. You get 12 matte and 9 shimmers. Pigmentation is great on all the eye shadow and texturewise, the shadows are smooth, buttery and very easy to blend. You might get some fall out on some of the shimmers, but its nothing that will mess up you makeup application. You also get 5 blush shades. I find that a darker complexion with have issues with two of the lighter shades. The lightest shade of the bunch is a perfect highlight on my skin tone. My favorite shadows of the bunch - all three shadows in the first column, the third shadow of the second column and the third shadow of the last column.
Now for the not so great parts of this palette - Some of the pan move out of the slot, if that happens, just use a double sided tape to keep it in place. There are no shade names. I know that is not a significant thing, but I am close to hitting pan on some of my shadows and it will be great to be able to order a replacement (if only the shade names were included). In the summer months, some of the shadows crease if I don't prime my lids, but with a primer - you are good to go.
The Palette costs $19.95, but if you are familiar with BH Cosmestics, you know there is always a sale going on, so you can pick this up at a discounted price (currently discounted to $12.95).
