Strawberry Avocado Salsa with Homemade Tortilla Chips Recipe
Inspired by a trip to the farmers market and the desire for a quick/healthy snack. This is great as a snack or as an appetizer; the best part - you can make this in under twenty minutes.
Strawberry Avocado Salsa
What you need:
- 1/2 cup finely chopped strawberries
- 1/4 cup finely chopped (peeled) avocado
- 1/2 cup finely chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 cup of finely chopped celery
- 1 table spoon of lemon juice
- 2 table spoons of finely chopped jalepeno peppers
Step 1: Combine all ingredies in a bowl, toss lightly and serve with tortilla chips. [Use only fresh ingredients].
Tortilla Chips
What you need:
- 3 small flour tortillas
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Seasoning (1 teaspoon of Cayenne pepper and Salt)
Step 1: Heat oven to 350
Step 2: Mix oil, cayenne pepper and salt in a bowl
Step 3: Stack tortillas and cut into 4 wedges
Step 4: Brush each wedge with the oil mixture (make sure to brush both side)
Step 5: Place on a baking tray and place in oven for 5 to 7 minutes
