Julie G Nail Polish - Cruise Collection

Julie G Nail Polish - Cruise Collection

Julie G Nails Cruise Collection.JPG

I first heard about the Julie G nail polishes from a favorite you tuber - Dani [Coffeebreakwithdani]. She raved about the quality of the nail polish and the longevity and it peaked my interest.  After seeing the swatches of the latest collection [the cruise collection] - I had to place an order. My order arrived about a month ago and I love these nail polishes so much, I am devoting an entire post to them. Now, my struggles with applying nail polishes have been documented on this blog - here, so you know this is a good one if it gets its on post.

The collection has six vibrant, spring/summer appropriate shades. These are cream polishes and most of the shades require only about a coat or two and applies very nicely - Here is a shade breakdown from right to left

Canary Islands. Never thought I would like yellow nail polish, but this bright yellow (somewhat golden) color is definitely one to try if you are not sure about yellow nail polish. It took me three coats to get it right, but loved it once it was on.

Santori. A periwinkle/corn flower blue (I struggle with how best to describe it) and it is by far my favorite of the bunch. I have to fight the urge to wear this all year round. This is the color I chose for my birthday look and I also wore this during my west coast trip - See here.

Rio De Janeiro. This is a berry purple color, that screams radiant orchid. This was the very first one I tried, easily a one coat polish; it quickly made its ways into my radiant orchid line up - here.

Tahiti. This is a minty green color with tiny specks of silver glitter. It reminds me of Essie's mint candy apple, but better.

Old San Juan. This is a tangerine orange color (not the "in your face" orange), found it to be muted and very wearable for everyday. This is one that required about three coats when I was applying it (it might have been user errors), but once applied, it is gorgeous.

Miami Beach. Coral pink shade that is very summer appropriate. Not a color I would normally go for, but it applies nicely. Personally, I think this might be a shade for the toes, but we'll see as the summer progresses.

The six shades are limited edition, so If you are interested in any of these shades, I would suggest placing an order asap. Julie G polishes are available at riteaid (or on the Jesse's girl website) for $3.99 each or you can pick up the collection (on the website only) for $23.94. Also check groupon, there are sometimes deals on the collections, I got mine for $12.99 on Groupon and it arrived within a week.
