2020 TRAVEL BUCKETLIST - TEN PLACES I WILL LOVE TO VISIT THIS YEAR

[Disclaimer: None of the pictures in this post is mine, click on picture to visit the respective source]

Now that the loooongest month is over and budgets have been finalised, its time to dream a little about where me and my passport will Journey to this year. As someone who enjoys traveling, one of the top three question I am asked is with regards to my bucket list; In 2019, for the first time in a very long time, I pulled together a travel bucket-list and by sheer happenstance I visited three destinations on the list. In light of that I am sharing my top ten bucket-list destinations for 2020 in hopes that (like 2019), I am able to check off a few of this destinations. Before I get into my list, my mantra still remain - keep an open mind on destinations; take advantage of flight and travel deals and don’t limit yourself to a bucket list. Essentially, make a list but don’t be afraid to toss it out. In 2019, I visited 40 cities/towns in 20 countries (13 of which were Countries I had never visited before) and only three of those 20 countries were on the bucket-list. The opportunities presented themselves and I took advantage of it and had an incredible time.

I have got 10 countries/cities listed here - some I can knock off in a long weekend and others will require a bit more planning; time and money. If you have been to any of these places - I will love recommendations of what to do and where to eat.

CAPE VERDE. At the beginning of last year, I decided to try to spend at least one of my annual trips on the Continent. Morocco and Cape Verde were at the top of the list. I was able to visit Morocco last year and hoping Cape Verde will happen this year. There are new direct routes to Cape Verde, which improves my odds of visiting and finding Coumba (amazingpassport) instagram last year has only increased my motivation

PANAMA. Has always been the back of my mind to visit. It has moved up to the top of the list since following the Ufuoma's time in Panama. It even made the shortlist for the final trip of 2019, but the flight times and connections did not work for me. I have a long list of things I want to do while in Panama, at the top of the list - San Blas Islands.

MAURITIUS. It is the second Country on the mother continent on this list; surely, that will increase my odds of getting back to the Continent. Looking forward to culture and nature and beaches and incredible sunsets.

MEXICO. It has been almost a decade since I visited Mexico, which is sad since I have spent most of the last decade living in Texas. With the start of the new year, perhaps a return in on the agenda. I will love to visit Mexico City for the Culture and Tulum for the history and beaches and maybe stop by the Yucatan peninsula to visit one of the seven wonders of the world.

CAYMAN ISLANDS. At the beginning of my career, I had a friend whose family was from the Cayman; we always talked about the visit and spending days beachside and eating run cake. While we have lost touch in the last five years, hearing about the Cayman from her has remained with me. Ordered some stretchy pants because Rum cake here I come.

NAPA VALLEY. As long as I have lived in the States, I cannot believe I have not made my way to Napa Valley. When I decided to add domestic destinations to this list, Napa Valley was at the top of the list; wine country; incredible cuisine; perfect weather here I come.

CYPRUS. I used to work with a fellow from Cyprus, and hearing his stories about his home Country; It quickly became one of the countries I want to visit. I have already begun to plan out my European summer; I am hoping I can fit in the itinerary.

SPAIN. I have been to Spain a few times, but I am ready for a return trip. I want to return to Barcelona to fully explore La Sagrada La Familia and revisit some of my favorite stops from the last time I was in Barcelona. I also want to visit Madrid - churros and cookies baked by nuns are at the top of the must-do list.

BRAZIL. I was in Brazil a few years ago, and in spite of how limited my time in the Country was, I still had an incredible and have been hoping to return to explore Rio or lay on the beach at Praia do Espelho or Carneiros beach.

LAKE TAHOE. Getting out in nature is something I want to do more of this decade and I cannot think of a better place to bound with nature like Lake Tahoe.Just google Lake Tahoe in fall and get ready to swoon.
