THE WEEKEND LIST , 9 | MAKING [SMALL] CHANGES

MALTA.jpg

I have been in this corner of the internet for almost six year now and in that time this space has evolved from a beauty blog ; to food blog to travel blog. Travel is where my heart is and the niche of this space and my passion to share travel and inspire you to go irrespective of of your budget; the limitations of your passport or working a full-time job. With everything that has happened this year, I have decided to make a very small pivot - there will still be the travel content; but in addition to that I will share more lifestyle bits - my favorite recipes ; books I am reading ; interior decor etc. I started that pivot with this weekend series which I absolutely love doing ; now I am add in lifestyle post once or twice a month that focuses on everything else I enjoy besides travel. The first lifestyle post went up this week. Hope you love this addition to the space.

Here are a few things that have made this week better - take only what you need.

In the long list of things continuing impact of COVID, some of our favorite eatery closures. This piece about the last meals at the closing restaurant was a gut punch

How to stop overthinking work stuff when you are off the clock. A much needed read as I start vacation on Monday.

I asked for a skincare recommendation on Instagram last week. About the time I start paying attention to skincare - this Instagram page and this step by step guide to skincare have been excellent skincare roadmaps

The final episode of Camp Joy was a winner. Po’boys and Ginger Brew - what else do you need for summer.

I have been thinking about Italy a lot this week, especially our time in Verona; It is one of those cities I will return to again and again.

Fifteen years ago, Katrina hit the gulf coast, and Louisiana took a massive hit - many lives and property lost. I lived in Louisiana at the time and knew many people impacted directly. The unlearned lessons of Katrina brought back some not so great memories.

The Life Breonna Taylor Lived. The fight for justice continues.
