Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

WHERE TO EAT IN DALLAS <> FIVE PLACES I AM CURRENTLY LOVING

WHERE TO EAT IN DALLAS

I am working on an ultimate guide to Dallas that will be popping up here in a few months, but I could not wait another month to share my current favorite eats with you. As much as I am a wanderlust, I am also a foodie. I love discovering new gems to recommend to friends and family. Here are a few Dallas spots I am absolutely loving at the moment

Ida Claire (Addison, TX). Anyone that has asked me for a restaurant recomemndation the last few months has heard the name Ida Claire. It is my favorite restaurant at the moment. Offering southern menu with a twist. This is scratch cooking at its very best. I recommend everything on the menu (seriously !). My personal favorites - Crawfish Corn Beignets ; Chicken and Waffle ; Shrimp & Grits and Kombucha.

Ragin' Crab (Lower Greenville). It has been almost a decade since I moved from Louisiana to Dallas. There are a few things I miss about Louisiana, at the top of the list - The food. Something about Cajun cooking makes me do a happy dance. There was nowhere in Dallas that quite matched up in Cajun cooking, until now. Ragin' Crab knows Cajun food. I recommend the fried catfish basket ; the gumbo is magnific and the sweet potato fries - insane.

Emporium Pie (Bishop Arts District). Ha-le-llujah. That is the sound I make every time I visit emplorium pie. Once you have a bite of the pie, you will understand why there are lines out the door and I make the thirty minute drive from my home to the Bishop art district. Get a slice of the Honey Nutty pie or the lord of pies.

Mughiai Fine Indian (Dallas). One of my all time favorite restaurants. It is no wonder it has won several Best in Dallas awards. The food and ambience is excellent. I have tried several menu items and love everything on the menu. I recommend the Vegetable Samosa and Gosht Biryani.

Blaza Pizza (multiple locations). I first heard about Blaze pizza from Mozdeb so I tried it out. Oh la la. Artisian pizza that is ready in 180 second made from the freshest ingredients, build it as you want or order from the menu. You will not be dissapointed. I love the bbq chicken pizza from the menu.

Now your turn - What restaurant are you loving at the moment ?

Who knows, I might find myself in your city soon and your recommendations will come in handy.
