If you have been following my Malta series, you already know how I feel about Sliema. Sliema was where I chose as a base for my time in Malta. I initially chose it due to its proximity to Valletta and the cheaper accommodation options; if you are looking to visit Malta, I lay the various towns' pros and cons to help decide where to stay. I chose Sliema - it was laid back, and the Promenade made for a charming daily stroll; and where I spent a lot of time and if you still to end of the main Promenade, you get this view of Valletta that cannot beat not even if you visited the Valletta waterfront. Sliema had some fantastic restaurants as well, including one that served up local dishes.

Try out local delicacy at Ta'Kris restaurant. It is one of the most popular restaurants in the area, so make sure to get a reservation in advance. I had a pasta dish that had bits of the rabbit. Rabbit is a delicacy in Malta, and Ta'Kris serves different variations - the pasta dish was excellent. A warning, the portion sizes here are massive, so go hungry.

The Pistachio Hazelnut Latte from Cafe Berry: Cafe Berry is one of the top coffee shops in the region and a perfect place to kick off your day in Malta; they serve excellent coffees and cake, but the Pistachio Hazelnut beverage (and blueberry coffee cake is why I will keep coming back).

Take Wander around town for the most Spectacular doors and windows. I know that sounds vague, but trust me. Especially if you love architecture, Malta has a unique architecture; with colorful exterior and there, not one place to see these, so just best to wander the long streets and let yourself be inspired.

Tinge Pointe (and the Pedestrian Bridge). The bridge is a perfect spot to get incredible views; get to the largest mall in Malta (The Point) and Malta's version of Paris's Pont Des Arstbridge (padlock bridge).

End of the Promenade. If you stroll the length of the Promenade, you will arrive at Tinge Pointe bridge; instead of taking the stairs up; that a walk under the bridge to get to the waterfront; which is a lovely quiet spot to unwind; listen and watch waves and get a spectacular view of Valletta Waterfront.

Roman Baths. I walked past the area but had no idea what I was missing until I returned to London; After reading up on it, It would have been a must-do for me, and so if this is something you fancy, it is located by the Surfside restaurant. You can read all about it in the article.

Explore the Promenade. The full length of the Promenade is about 2KM; there is not one thing to point out; it is everything about the Promenade from the views and fruit/food stalls; the Valletta ferry stop. Take your time on the Promenade and enjoy the views. There is a lemonade stall that serves adult lemonade (aka lightly spiked with alcohol).

Dine at Mint. This one-stop cafe - incredible desserts, sandwiches, vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. Mint is located on the waterfront, so you get some incredible views while dining. I had the carrot cake, which I can boldly say is the best carrot cake I have ever had.
