Since the Portland | Grace forum post went up, my inbox has been filled with questions about beauty post. I have struggled with bringing back the beauty posts without distracting from the travel discussion. I settled on the monthly roundup - a monthly post focused on all thing beauty - this post will feature the last week of the month (I hope you enjoy it). Kicking things off my skincare favorites.
I have somewhat sensitive skin and once I find a product that works - I stick to it. I don't like to experiment with my skincare product. Things start to get bumpy on the face when I experiment. First Aid Beauty products have been my go to skincare line for the last year, particularly these four products.
FOR EVERYDAY USE - THE FACIAL RADIANCE PADS
I use this in the mornings when I get out of the shower (or just after taking off my makeup at night). It gets rid of anything the cleansers miss. After I pat down my face, I swipe one pad across my face and neck, it exfoliates, brightens (and tones). My favorite bit of this product - It is alcohol free and it does not have that tingling sensation that similar products have on the skin.
FOR WINTER TIME - THE FACIAL RADIANCE OVERNIGHT MASK
My skin craves moisture in winter and this overnight mask delivers just the right amount of moisture without any greasy residue. This is an overnight mask, so after taking off my makeup and patting down my face, I lightly massage a small amount of this mask on my face and neck for maximum moisture. As an added bonus, this mask brightens and tones, so I skip night time use of the radiance pads if I plan on using this mask.
FOR BREAKOUTS - THE RED CLAY SKIN RESCUE DEEP CLEANSER AND PURIFYING MASK
Thankfully, breakouts are few and far between, but when they make an appearance it is unpleasant and irritating - the red clay line , specifically the cleanser and the mask are my go to products. The cleanser is seriously good stuff, it unclogs the pores and purifies - i can feel the difference on my face. When I get breakouts, I use the purifying (peeling) mask two to three times a week to get things under control. It smooths out my skin without sucking out the moisture.
Have you used anything from this line ? I am looking for recommendations on what else to pick up from the line.
